Hungarian Uprising Game

Here's a really neat interactive action game that I found online. Players participate in the Hungarian Uprising, a major event during the Cold War. We haven't gone all the way through it, but from what we've seen, it looks pretty good.

Tip for teachers: When you cover the Cold War in World History-Global Studies, consider placing a link to an educational game like this on your class blog, etc., right before you delve into the topic. You might be surprised with how much knowledge, as well as how many meaningful questions, your students bring to class.

Civil War in Imperial Rome

You've taken World History or Global Studies, right? How much do you remember about ancient Rome? Can you recall the civil wars which rocked the Roman world? Try playing our Civil War in Rome Playtime Game online. Test your knowledge on the end of the Roman Republic. Just beware the Ides of March!

As always, there is no registration or log-in required. Playtime is a Vegas-style quiz game that can be played by one or two players (or two teams).

Be aware that these are not "baby quizzes" designed to make you feel good! These questions are crafted by trained, experienced teachers and are the types of questions that commonly come up on high school and college tests and exams.
