The Spread of Islam

State proficiency exams, advanced placement tests, and other standardized tests use primary source documents, maps, and graphs. Test-takers are asked to answer questions based on these items. We offer a wide range of mini practice tests to take online which mimic the DBQs (document-based questions) seen on standardized tests.

Look at a graph, map, or document, then answer questions based on the graph, map, or document. Practice with our online quizzes and games will show results. You will earn higher scores on standardized tests.

World History-Global Studies-European History students can get started by taking our Islamic Conquests in Africa, Asia, and Europe (632-750 CE) Interactive Multiple-Choice Map Quiz. Play online and get instant results.

The Emancipation Proclamation

On January 1, 1863, the Emancipation Proclamation went into effect. With this document, President Abraham Lincoln freed those slaves living in rebellious states. This military strategy was used by Lincoln to help the Union achieve victory in the American Civil War. We have a great Printable Emancipation Proclamation DBQ that teachers can print and copy for students. The document-based questions come complete with the full text of the primary source document. Total printing is two pages (meaning it can be printed in full on two sides of a sheet of paper).
